We are Southern Baptist and part of the Lanier Baptist Association and the Ga. Baptist Convention. We believe in the power of Jesus Christ to save us from our sins. He is the only sacrifice for sin and the only way to Heaven. We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God. It is our rule book for life. We adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our statement of faith. A printable copy can be found at SBC.net.
We exist to bring Jesus to people and people to Jesus. We observe the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of every month. We observe the ordinance of water baptism by immersion as we have requests to become members of Grace. We support mission causes here and around the world through Cooperative Program giving. We support the Hightower Food and Clothing Bank with our people and finances.
To sum up Grace; Grace is a healing place. We come from different backgrounds and are very diverse but come together on the common ground of salvation thru Christ Jesus.
Articles
of Faith
We
believe the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error in
its teachings, and is the authority for our lives.
We believe in one God,
eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the
Holy Spirit.
We
believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus Christ, and that He is fully
God and fully man. He died on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily
from the dead; ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand
of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.
We
believe that all humans are created in the image of God but because
all have sinned, all are lost. Only through regeneration by the
work of the Holy Spirit can human salvation and spiritual life be
obtained.
We
believe that eternal salvation is the free gift of God, entirely
apart from human works, and is possessed by any and all who have
faith in and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
We
believe in a regenerated church membership: that is, anyone old
enough to understand his or her need for Jesus Christ and, through
one’s own free will, accepted Him as Lord and Savior.
We
believe that baptism is by immersion and the Lord's Supper is a
memorial to His suffering and death on the cross. These are
ordinances to be observed by the church in its present age.
We
believe in the personal, bodily, imminent, and glorious return of
the Lord Jesus Christ and that His Second Coming inspires believers
for dynamic and zealous life and service for Him while waiting for
His return.
We
believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the everlasting
blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the everlasting punishment
and separation from God of the unsaved in hell.
We
believe in the autonomy of the local church. The church shall manage
its own affairs and shall not be subject to any other religious body
or organization.
